Skills and Qualifications

A bright mind (usually PhD but some have no degree at all) proficient in:

• Python
• Bash
• Ideally Linux SE
• Puppet (would be a benefit)
• Have experience with or attempted functional programming in Scala and Lisp
• BSD
• Git or Darcs
• Ideally skilled in build/deployment technologies such as Maven, CMake, and Rake

You will probably know:

• Scala
• Ocaml
• F#
• Java
• Linux
• HPC
• HFT Systems
• Infrastructure Linux troubleshooting
• Virtualization technologies like KVM, VirtualBox
• Network protocols: BGP, OSPF, VRRP
• Cisco IOS
• F5 IPSEC

Experience

At least 4 years of professional open-source system experience.
