JavaScript Works were really proud to be at the CityJSConf at the end of March. It was an amazing event that brought together some of the best speakers globally in JavaScript and the best local meetups at City University in London.
Below are a selection of the highlights and pictures from the event;
The highlight of the event was a debate between Dylan Schiemann and Kyle Simpson on the value and benefits of adding development time type systems such as TypeScript vs. limitations they may impose.
This was a really interesting discussion where Kyle tried to put himself as the outsider and Kyle discussed how we spend far too much time reading code instead of writing it.
Other highlights from the event
Best of all was meeting the other great sponsors and the eager and enthusiastic attendees. It was a great chance for some amazing London based meetups - London JS Community, JS Monthly, Halfstack, to come together and there were some really amazing volunteers from City University who made everything run smoothly.

A big thank you to Aris Markogiannakis for putting everything together.
