What if we told you that angel-investing can and should be brought to a next level? After all, this is what Roundtable is all about. A revolutionising go-to platform with a social network twist. They not only empower angel investors to invite their network to co-invest alongside them, automating all the regulatory and process flows, but also open other asset classes with the aim to become the one-stop shop for non-professional investors for all alternative asset investments.
We recently had a nice chat with Simon Ternoir, the Co-founder & CTO of Roundtable, about the next steps in the company’s development journey and their aims for the future of the team and product.

Roundtable is aiming to revolutionise private asset management by building a social platform to democratise investments in alternative assets in Europe (start-ups, private equity, art, crypto-assets, etc.)
Our vision is that alternative asset classes will grow fast in the coming years, as the returns of more traditional investments (real estate, stock markets, etc.) are decreasing, inflation is growing, and tech makes it easier than ever to democratise this type of investments outside of the Ultra High Net Worth sphere.
As a first step, Roundtable will be the go-to platform for everything related to angel-investing in startups. Roundtable will empower angel investors to invite their network to co-invest alongside them, automating all the regulatory and process flows under the hood.
Further down the line, we will open other asset classes (such as Venture capital or Private Equity) and aim to become the one-stop shop for non-professional investors for all alternative asset investments. We will also be exploring if this can be done with DAOs, which we believe will completely change how organisations (including investment syndicates) will be run.
Over the last 3 months, we have worked on revolutionising deal by deal co-investment in start-ups in Europe
We also grew the team and are now 5 and counting! (We’ve just hired an Operation Specialist and a Senior Developer and have a few more open roles.)
Now, we need to build the platform, and start scaling!
We are basically building the tech team! But that being said, the team is laying the foundations of our platform, targeting a beta release this summer.
We are working hard with all the Roundtable team and early birds customers to deliver the best social investment platform!
Monorepo (Nx), fully Type-Safe and remote friendly (Gitpog, Github Codespaces). Our main application runs with Next.Js backed with GraphQL APIs.
We have to be pragmatic with our choices. Be able to hire great talents on a versatile tech stack. Since we are dealing with really sensitive information, our main challenge is to build a strong and resilient platform, highly secured and predictable.
A lot of key parts in our tech stack need to be defined, early tech team members will be fully part of it!
Roundtable culture is built around 5 key core values:
Roundtable is a remote-friendly environment! Our Headquarters are in the Paris city centre.
Roundtable is committed to creating a diverse environment. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment irrespective of gender, origins, identity, background and orientations.
We have a 3-Step Hiring Process
Stage 1: Phone screen - Mutual introduction, company description, discussion about experiences and skills, etc.
Stage 2: Technical interview - depends on seniority and skills. Most of the time peer-programming on an application piece of code, in-depth algorithmic question or architectural design.
Stage 3: Team/Founders interview - Meet the team in order to be familiarised with the goals of the business, have a comprehensive understanding of the company, etc.
It definitely sounds like a challenge to be accepted! If you’re interested in Roundtable’s open roles don’t hesitate to take a look here and apply today!
